The home department of the government has given the green signal to recruit 12000 posts in the Gujarat police. At that time, the youth who want to make a career by joining the police have already started their preparations. The government has given approval for large recruitment for about 12000 posts in the police department under the home department of the state of Gujarat. Detailed notification for the recruitment of these various posts will be released soon.

Detailed Vacancies for Police Recruitment


About 6600 posts of bean weapon constable will be recruited by the Gujarat Police Recruitment Board. While there are possibilities of recruitment to 3302 posts of armed constable.

Apart from this, the recruitment of 1000 posts of Hathiari Police Constable (SRPF), 1013 posts of Jail Constable, 85 posts of Jail Women Constable in State Reserve Police Force (SRP) is going to be announced.


As many as 472 posts of police sub-inspector are likely to be recruited.


Police Recruitment Rules 2024


It is worth mentioning that the rules for Gujarat Police Recruitment have been changed. Exam for Gujarat Police Recruitment is now going to be conducted as per new rules and new pattern. The written examination will be conducted in MCQ mode and multiple choice mode.


Earlier the system of giving extra marks to the candidates for running has been removed and instead the running has to be completed only within the stipulated time. Those who complete the race within the stipulated time will be allowed to give the written test. Also the rule that earlier the weight of the candidate was taken into consideration has also been canceled now.


The syllabus of the written test has also been changed. Henceforth the main examination of total 300 marks will be conducted and two question papers will be conducted in it. Also candidates need to secure 40% marks in each part of each question paper to pass.


Question Paper 1 Part A will be of 100 marks and Part B of 100 marks. Candidates need to secure 40 percent marks in each part to pass.


In Question Paper 2, Part A will carry 70 marks and Part B will carry 30 marks. Candidates need to secure 40% marks in Part A and Part B to pass.


Candidates with less than 40 percent marks in both sections of Question Paper 1 will not be checked in Paper 2.
From previous study sequence Psychology, Sociology, I.P.C. Act, CRPC Act Evidence Act, Gujarat Police Act,

Prevention of Atrocities Act, Motor Vehicle Act, Gujarat Prohibition Act and Prevention of Corruption Act have been removed from the syllabus and a new syllabus has been prepared instead.


The rules have also been changed regarding the additional marks of Raksha Shakti University to be given to the candidate.
