Teacher Recruitment: There is a happy news for TAT and TAT pass candidates. A cabinet meeting was held today on this issue, in which it has been decided to recruit permanent teachers to 24,700 vacant posts in the state. The government has started preparations for the recruitment of permanent teachers.

Candidates will be considered eligible for this recruitment if the exams conducted till 2023 are considered valid.
This process will be completed by December 2024.
The government admitted that more than 42 thousand posts are vacant.
50 percent of the vacancies will be filled.
50% marks of eligible test and certificate will be considered.
Knowledge assistant will also be eligible for this recruitment.
There are 42759 vacancies out of which 24700 posts will be filled.


Gujarat Teacher vacancy: The State has finalized the proposed recruitment calendar for the time-bound planning of the recruitment process of teachers at various levels in government primary and government and grant-in-aid secondary and higher secondary schools. Education Minister Dr. Under the direct guidance of Kuber Dindor and Minister of State Praful Panseria, through the timely implementation of this proposed recruitment calendar, the recruitment process has been carried out by publishing an advertisement for the recruitment process of more than 24,700 teachers on various possible dates from August-2024 to December-2024.


Spokesperson of the state government, Minister Rishikesh Patel, gave detailed details of this important plan made by the present government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel in the vast interest of the youth of the state. As per the proposed calendar of recruitment process the date of possible advertisement for filling up the estimated number of 1200 posts of Principal (HMAT PASS candidates) in Granted Schools and 2200 posts of Senior Teacher in Granted Schools. shall be 01/08/2024.


Rishikesh Patel further said that there are approximately 4000 vacancies for Teaching Assistant (TAT HIGHER SECONDARY pass candidates) in Government Higher Secondary Schools and Granted Higher Secondary Schools including 750 posts for Government Higher Secondary Education Assistant and 3250 posts for Granted Higher Secondary Education Assistant. Date of possible announcement. shall be 01/09/2024.


In addition, advertisement for total 3500 posts of Teaching Assistant in Government and Granted Secondary Schools will be on 01/10/2024 in which 500 posts of Government Secondary Teaching Assistant (TAT SECONDARY pass candidates) and 3000 posts of Granted Secondary Teaching Assistant (TAT SECONDARY pass candidates) Recruitment for the post will be advertised. Date of Prospective Recruitment Advertisement for about 7000 Posts for TET-2 Pass Candidates as Teaching Assistant in Gujarati Medium in Government Higher Primary Schools. shall be 01/11/2024. Vidyasahayak (Other Medium) TET-2 pass candidates in Govt Higher Primary Schools for approximately 600 posts likely on dt. Announcement will be made on 01/11/2024.


In addition, the recruitment for about 5000 posts for TET-1 pass candidates as Teaching Assistant in Gujarati medium in Government Primary Schools and about 1200 posts for TET-1 pass candidates as Teaching Assistant in other medium in Government Primary Schools will probably be announced on 01/12/2024.

Rishikesh Patel further said that important decisions have been taken in the state cabinet meeting regarding the validity period of the respective examination certificate of TET-1 and TET-2 candidates.

He said that according to these decisions, in the recruitment announced today, all the candidates who have passed in TET-1 from the year 2012 to 2023 and all the candidates who have passed in TET-2 from 2011 to 2023 will be able to apply as per the provisions of the recruitment rules. After this recruitment, the period of validity of the certificate of the candidates who passed TET-1 and TET-2 in 2023 will be 5 years from the date of issue of the certificate or the new framework announced by NCTE under National Education Policy-2020 whichever is earlier.


Not only this, the Teacher Eligibility Test Certificate of candidates who have passed TET-1 and TET-2 before the year-2023 will be considered valid for this recruitment process. Thereafter, the duration of Teacher Eligibility Test Certificate before the year-2023 shall not be considered valid. He further told that the State Govt. As per resolution dated 29-04-2023 only the results of the two-level teacher aptitude test conducted in the year 2023 for TAT-Secondary and TAT-Higher Secondary candidates will be considered for recruitment in government and aided secondary and higher secondary schools.

With this decision of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel’s cabinet meeting, sufficient number of teachers will be available in the state schools through this recruitment and suitable candidates will get a chance, he said.
