GCAS (GUJARAT COMMON ADMISSION SERVICES) Registration for admission to the first year of the college has started from 1st April in the Common Admission Portal, the portal will be opened again for 5 days after the supplementary examination.
For the first time, the common admission process has started for admissions in government universities and colleges of the state. The registration process has started from 1st April in Common Admission Portal. Which will last for two weeks after the declaration of class 12 result. After the completion of the first phase registration process, the portal will be opened again for the candidates who have passed the supplementary examination.

Students seeking admission in the state’s 14 government universities have to register on the Common Admission Services (GCAS) portal. As per the guidelines announced by the Education Department, the registration process will start from 1st April. The process has to be completed within two weeks of the announcement of the result of class 12. After that the portal will be opened again for 5 days after the result of the supplementary exam. After registration, log in ID of each university will be given. Universities will have to process their various degree courses autonomously. The process of making the merit list for the students other than the supplementary examination will have to be completed in 3 rounds.

Starting from the new academic session B. A., B. Common Admission System is implemented for all Government University Colleges across Gujarat for admission in Comm., BSc, BBA, BCA etc.
For which the students will have to register themselves from 1/4/24 and after the twelfth standard result, the procedure for admission will have to be done.
Registration till 14/04/24 is mandatory for admission process.

•Name : Name of the student should be as per Higher Secondary Examination (HSE) Marksheet/12th Class Marksheet.
•Date of Birth : Date of birth should be as mentioned in 10th standard mark sheet and school leaving certificate.
•Category: Candidates have to upload or attach the following documents, proofs for the category: EWS (Economically Weaker Section), SC (Scheduled Caste), ST (Scheduled Tribe), OBC (Other Backward Caste) and SEBC (Socially Backward Caste) falling under general category. and Economically Backward Classes), Nomadic Tribes and Non-Scheduled Tribes
- Revision of filled application form. (It is suggested to go through the entire application form again before final submission.)
- Payment of application fee through payment gateway link provided. (Payment of only one time application fee for unlimited choice of universities/colleges, streams and courses).
- The filled application form will be automatically sent to the respective e-mail id of the student.
- Final Stage of Registration by Student – Final Submission
- The submitted application will be sent to all the universities/colleges selected by the student.
- Each University/College will prepare a separate merit list of candidates. University/College may be asked to prepare merit list and send e-mail to students as per there merit list.
- Based on the merit list, the selected student will visit the University/College for document verification and fee submission.
- The University/College will confirm and enroll the student.
Other Important Tips:
- Final Registration Completion of all questions is mandatory before final submission.
- Always make sure to fill updated, active e-mail id and mobile number details. Important updates regarding the application form will be given through the given mobile number.
- It is mandatory for the candidate to submit the active contact number of parents/guardians.
- It is mandatory to enter all the eligibility related details correctly. This helps universities/colleges to shortlist the submitted application forms.
- Candidates have to visit the University/College after receiving the e-mail regarding the selected list of University/College for document verification and final registration.
- Disability : The candidate has to enclose a certificate of more than 45 percent physical disability.
